Xmega development tool for embedded applications
Mikroelektronika
Xmega-Ready Board
Mikroelektronika has launched the Xmega-Ready Board, a solution for fast and simple development of embedded applications using the Atmel Xmega A1 device.
The tool features the ATxmega128A1 device that is connected to an 8MHz oscillator circuit.
Voltage regulation is available on board, so there is no need to add any more power supply electronics.
To power up the board, only a 7-23VAC or 9-32VDC power supply needs to be connected via a screw terminal.
The tool includes connectors for connecting the external programmer and JTAG.
These connectors enable the connection of devices for in-circuit debugging and firmware programming.
The board features a FT232R IC - USB to serial UART interface - which is said to simplify USB to serial conversion.
This way, users can connect the tool to a PC USB port or other USB host devices.
It also contains a prototyping area that allows the user to add various electronic components.
In addition, VCC and GND lines are available.
Every pin of the on-board device can be connected with external circuits using connection pads.
