XBee development kit
Solid State Supplies has introduced a development kit for the XBee range of flexible embedded Wi-Fi modules.
The kit comprises two XBee Wi-Fi modules and two carrier boards with serial and USB connectivity options.
With SPI and UART serial interfaces, XBee modules — manufactured by Digi — support 802.11 b/g/n and SPI data rates of up to 3.5Mbps.
In deep-sleep mode, they consume less than 2uA while in low-power mode the XBee Wi-Fi can maintain a connection to the access point, consuming only 1.5mA.
The modules work with a variety of antennas, including embedded printed circuit board, U.FL, RPSMA and wired whip, and operate over the industrial temperature range of -40ºC to +85ºC.
