Kane to exhibit PXI Express range at NI Day

Kane Computing

Kane/PXI NI Day

Kane Computing , the UK Distributor for Sundance, will be exhibiting the PXI Express range of high-performance products at the National Instruments Day at Savoy Place, London on 17 November 2009.

Sundance has extended its range of 3U PXI Express Cards to 22, covering generic parallel processing, data acquisition, video framegrabbers, Cameralink interfaces, infra-red camera support, fast network/GigE connection and waveform generators.

Products being demonstrated include the SMT702 and SMT712 modules.

The SMT702 provides eight lanes of PXI Express and features two channels of 3GHz ADCs that can be combined to deliver 6Gsps and high-density Xilinx Virtex 5 LXT FPGA devices for logic and serial I/O.

The SMT712 is a PXI Express (optional Hybrid) Peripheral Module (3U), which integrates two 2.3Gsps 12-bit DACs, two banks of 1Gb DDR2 memory each, a clock circuitry and a Virtex5 Xilinx FPGA, under the 3U format.

The generic product building block is the SMT700 that introduces FPGA acceleration to PXI Express systems.

PXI is an open specification governed by the PXI Systems Alliance that defines a rugged, CompactPCI-based platform for test, measurement and control.
