Intrepid WaveBPS captures protocol violations

Intrepid WaveBPS
Hitex has introduced Intrepid's WaveBPS, a tool for the capture and analysis of serial data analogue waveforms such as Flexray, CAN Bus, UART (J1708, K-Line, SCI, GM CGI), J1850, SPI, I2C or LIN Bus.
As well as general-purpose monitoring, WaveBPS can quickly capture infrequent or intermittent protocol violations.
For example, users can track down the CAN error frames that may occur during a crank event.
Another application is verifying there are no timing violations on software-based LIN implementations.
WaveBPS directly captures up to 128 mega samples of analogue data directly from a two-channel Picoscope 5000 series USB oscilloscope.
In addition, WaveBPS can load waveform files captured from other popular oscilloscopes.
WaveBPS understands the waveforms so users can quickly navigate and find events and errors.
Cursor measurements allow users to determine time, voltage and bus utilisation.
WaveBPS supports serial decode of most common serial buses.
The baud rate, thresholds and other settings for these protocols is configurable by the user.
For test automation, WaveBPS has a TCP/IP software API allowing remote control and analysis from other applications.
This includes the ability to control WaveBPS with Vehicle Spy scripting.
WaveBPS can also perform statistical node analysis where each automatic measurement is grouped by node and exported to a spreadsheet file.
