Evaluation kit prototypes sensing designs

Dart starter kit
Future Electronics (EMEA) has introduced an evaluation kit for engineers who want to prototype touch sensing or proximity sensing designs.
The Dart starter kit includes a compact board that features a CY8C21434 PSoC device from Cypress Semiconductor, a slider control, indicator LEDs and a buzzer, and a USB interface for connecting to a PC.
Future supplies fully-featured versions of the Cypress PSoC designer development tools as part of the kit.
Cypress's Capsense capacitive sensing technology, running on its PSoC range of controller ICs, is a popular way to implement touch sensing and proximity sensing in industrial and consumer electronics applications.
To help design engineers get up and running, Future has pre-loaded demonstration Capsense programmes for touch sensing and proximity sensing designs on the Dart kit.
Users can study and modify these demonstrations, or use the development tools to build their own designs from scratch.
The Dart kit can also be used as a platform for developing other mixed-signal applications running on the CY8C21434 PSoC IC.
Spare I/O pins are brought out on a connector, allowing designers to use the PSoC's programmable blocks to implement a wide range of signal conditioning, conversion and controller functions.
