Development tool for industrial control devices
Mikroelektronika
AVRPLC16 v6 PLC system
Mikroelektronika has launched the AVRPLC16 v6 PLC system, an AVR development tool intended for developing and designing industrial, home or office control devices using the Atmel AVR microcontroller.
The board features GSM (GPRS), GPS communication, 16 relays, 16 optocoupled inputs, RS485, RS232, Ethernet, MMC/SD and more.
The system is controlled by the ATMEGA 16 microcontroller, which is connected to an 8MHz oscillator and the rest of the board peripherals.
There is an on-board USB 2.0 AVR programmer specifically designed for in-circuit serial programming (ICSP).
Each feature of the board is supported by practical examples written in MikroC, Mikropascal and Mikrobasic Pro for AVR compilers.
In addition, the tool comes with comprehensive full-colour printed documentation.
Mikroelektronika has also launched the USB UART 2 board, featuring an MCP2200 USB-to-UART serial converter, which enables USB connectivity for prototype devices that have a UART interface.
The board also contains a USB connector, which can allow users to add USB communication to their prototype devices quickly and easily at minimum cost.
The company has also introduced the SmartSIM340Z board, which allows users to use the Simcom SIM340Z module in their GSM/GPRS device design.
The tool supports Simcom SIM340Z GSM/GPRS module and on-board voltage regulation, meaning there is no need for an additional power-supply circuit.
All that users need to do to begin creating their device is connect the power supply to the board and attach the GSM antenna.
Each feature of the board is supported by example written in MikroC, Mikropascal and Mikrobasic Pro compilers.
