Pentek has launched a multi-channel data converter designed to handle a large amount of communications and radar signals.
The Model 71651 — which features a Xilinx Virtex-6 field-programmable gate array (FPGA) at its core — is claimed to deliver more than twice the bandwidth of the company’s previous data converters.
The FPGA is pre-configured with data acquisition and playback IP to give the module turnkey functionality, with room left for user customisation.
Incorporating high-speed data converters and digital up/down converters, the Model 71651 offers tuning bandwidths ranging from 10kHz to 240MHz.
Other features include two input and two output radio-frequency channels that are transformer coupled to enable direct connection to high-frequency and intermediate-frequency radio stages.
