ABS announces use of Lattice FPGAs in compact digital camera reference design

Lattice Semiconductor

Lattice Semiconductor has announced that ABS has chosen the mid-range Lattice ECP3 FPGA for use in its compact digital camera reference design.

The company claims that the Lattice ECP3 FPGA gives it the capability to offer low-cost, low-power CCD or CMOS interface systems to its customers.

It has the power to support the complete video-processing chain while providing a low-power profile, making it suitable for the industrial camera market.

The system performs colour interpolation, scaling and distortion correction while operating at more than 128 megapixels per second.
