ZMD offers step-up converter for low-voltage retrofit lighting and LED backlighting
ZMD
ZLED7015 step-up converter
The ZLED7015 step-up converter from ZMD is designed for driving multiple high-brightness LEDs within low-voltage retrofit lighting, replacement tubes, LED backlighting, aftermarket automotive lighting products, industrial and consumer applications, as well as signage, outdoor, architectural and building lighting.
The converter features an integrated 35V MOSFET power switch, and its output current is programmable using external components and includes PWM, linear and DC voltage dimming.
The RoHS compliant unit functions within an input voltage range of 6–30V and a operates with a 1.0MHz switching frequency.
Additionally, adjustable overvoltage protection enables the chip and system to operate safely in the event of an unconnected load or an output that has short circuited. Undervoltage and over-temperature protection is also included.
The ZLED7015 is offered in a MSOP-10 package and is priced at €0.35/$0.46 per unit for orders of 5,000 pieces.
