ZMD introduces battery sensor IC designed for operation in harsh automotive environments
ZMD
ZSSC1856 battery sensor IC
ZMD has introduced a battery sensor integrated circuit (IC) for applications such as fuel-saving start/stop systems and for measuring the state of health, state of charge or state of function of a vehicle’s battery.
The ZSSC1856 — the first product in the company’s range of battery power-management products — is supplied in a QFN32 5x5 package measuring only 0.85mm in height.
The battery sensor IC is designed to satisfy the requirements of harsh automotive environments and features built-in self-test and diagnostic functions.
A calibrated on-chip temperature sensor eliminates the need for the calibration of external components.
