PSOC series of programmable IC architecture
The PSOC series of programmable IC architecture for embedded control design from Cypress Semiconductor is suitable for use in automotive, portable medical and industrial applications.
The flash-based unit integrates configurable digital and analogue circuits, controlled by an on-chip microcontroller.
Additionally, PSOC 3 and PSOC 5 architectures features up to 20 bit resolution for an analogue to digital converter and programmable digital resources integrated with MCU cores.
PSOC 3 devices are based on an 8 bit 8051 processor, PSOC 5 devices include a 32 bit ARM Cortex-M3 processor and the PSOC 1series is based on an 8 bit M8C core.
