Phoenix Contact offers compact controllers with SD slot suited to data logging tasks
Phoenix Contact
Compact controllers
At SPS/IPC/Drives 2011, Phoenix Contact introduced five ILC 1x1 compact controllers that supplement the product range of the 100 series performance class.
All the devices have an SD card slot that enables their flash memory size to be increased to up to 2GB, making them suitable for data logging applications.
In addition, the licensing of module libraries that are charged for, such as the IT library or closed-loop control system library, has been simplified.
If the user requires a license, this is released when the corresponding card is inserted into the controller.
Additional features
- Controller firmware supports Modbus/TCP
- Only two steps are required for configuring and commissioning
- User does not have to program anything
- Modbus communication can be implemented using function modules
