LT3759 DC/DC controller
The LT3759 DC/DC controller from Linear Technology — which can generate negative or positive output voltages — is suitable for boost, SEPIC and inverting supply applications within sectors such as industrial, automotive, medical and telecom.
The unit features two voltage feedback error amplifiers and reference voltages — one of which is set for positive output voltages and the other for negative, both off a single feedback pin. According to the company, this makes the controller suitable for a wide range of power supply designs.
Furthermore, the controller includes programmable soft-start, programmable undervoltage lockout with hysteresis, a power good signal, and output overvoltage and overcurrent protection.
Designers can also select from a variety of inductors and capacitors.
The LT3759 is offered in a thermally enhanced MSOP-12 package. The 1,000-piece price starts at $2.35 each.
