LDOs drive low-ESR 1uF MLCC capacitors
Diodes Incorporated
AP731x/AP733x LDOs
Diodes has introduced a range of low-drop-out linear regulators (LDOs) designed to drive low-ESR 1uF MLCC capacitors to reduce cost, and improve control-loop stability and transient response.
The AP731x and AP733x are 150 and 300mA CMOS LDOs, respectively, with a wide input voltage range of 2 to 6V that address both fixed and adjustable output voltage requirements.
Fixed output voltage LDOs cover the range between 1.0 and 3.3V, while adjustable devices support the output voltage range between 0.8 to 5V.
With an output accuracy specified at two per cent, the LDOs maintain consistent regulation for variations in specified temperature, line voltage and load conditions.
The devices are rated for full industrial temperature range operation, from -40C to 85C.
The LDOs' built-in over-current, over-temperature and short-circuit protection further improves circuit robustness and reliability.
In portable and low-power applications, the devices' quiescent current rating of 55uA provides power saving opportunities.
Applications include XDSL routers, wireless LAN cards, desktop and notebook computers, mouse and keyboard products and battery-powered equipment.
Offered with industry-standard pin-outs, the LDOs are available from Diodes in a range of green package options including SOT23, SOT25 and the PCB space and height saving DFN2020-6.
