High-speed drivers go high and low

Maxim Integrated Products

MAX15018 and MAX15019

MOSFET drivers handle input voltages up to 125V, compared with the 105V rating of competing products.

The MAX15018 and MAX15019 from Maxim Integrated Products are high-voltage high-speed drivers for high- and low-side N-channel MOSFETs.

These devices feature a high-side (HS) pin that allows input voltages up to 125V, compared with the 105V rating of competing products.

Pin compatible with the industry-standard HIP2100IB and HIP2101IB, the MAX15018 and MAX15019 are the best choice for ensuring sufficient safety margin in telecom power supplies that must withstand 100V or higher transient voltages.

The MAX15018 and MAX15019 provide a 3A peak source/sink current; short, 35ns (typical) propagation delay; and guaranteed 2ns (maximum) matched propagation delay between drivers, making them ideal for high-frequency power supplies.

Several versions are available with the choice of TTL- or CMOS-compatible noninverting/noninverting or noninverting/inverting logic inputs.

The logic inputs are protected against voltage spikes up to +15V, regardless of the V+ supply voltage.

The MAX15018 and MAX15019 are available in standard and thermally enhanced 8-pin SO packages and are fully specified over the -40 to +125C automotive temperature range.

Prices start at US $1.62 (1000-up).
