Gleichmann-Sunrise
Low-noise amplifier
Gleichmann Electronics has expanded its product portfolio with the UPC8240T6N low-noise amplifier (LNA) from NEC Electronics.
The device is manufactured using a special silicone germanium carbon technology and features a low-noise figure of just 1.0dB at 27dBm power gain.
The UPC8240T6N is designed for the GPS frequency of 1,575MHz and can operate with a supply voltage between 1.6V and 3.3V.
At 2.7V, the typical current consumption is 6.5mA.
The wide supply voltage range guarantees compatibility with almost all available GPS chipsets.
In addition, the UPC8240T6N is intended to improve the sensitivity of GPS receivers.
The small LNA is provided in a 1.5 x 1.5 x 0.37mm, six-pin, thin outline, non-leaded package, which complies with Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) regulations.
A typical field of application for the UPC8240T6N is active GPS antennas.
Data sheets and samples are available immediately from Gleichmann Electronics.
