AC input logic-IC couplers enable communications
Toshiba Electronics
TLP2095/TLP2098 AC input logic-IC couplers
The TLP2095 and TLP2098 AC input logic-IC couplers are suited for programmable logic controllers, communications equipment and digital interface circuits
Capable of data transmission rates up to 5Mbps, the TLP2095 and TLP2098 are designed to support supply voltages from 3 to 20V, and provide buffer logic and inverter logic totem pole outputs respectively.
Maximum switching time is 250ns and performance is guaranteed at temperatures between -40 and 100C.
The minimum isolation rating for each device is 3750Vrms and internal Faraday shields provide common mode transient immunities of +/-15kV/us.
Both of the photocouplers are supplied in a 4.4 x 3.6 x 2.5mm MFSOP package.
This package integrates two GaAlAs infrared LEDs that are optically coupled to a high-gain, high-speed photodetector.
A maximum input threshold current of +/-3mA and a maximum operating current of 3mA make the couplers ideal for applications where power budgets need to be kept to a minimum.
