USB minimodule

Available from TME, FTDI has developed a USB minimodule which operates as an USB-UART/FIFO converter.

The USB module consists of the FT2232H integrated circuit, which is a two-port high-speed (480Mb/s) USB bridge of 5th generation.

The module supports full indication and USB protocols that enable autonomous support for the interface.

UART and FIFO ports can be configured with MPSSE (Multi-Port Synchronous Serial Engine).

Each of the two channels can operate as a synchronous or asynchronous, serial or parallel FIFO interface.

Available channels can operate as separate UART/Bit-Bang ports, and in combination with MPSSE, can be used to emulate JTAG, SPI, I0C, Bit-Bang or other synchronous serial interfaces.

The USB minimodule is a perfect solution for applications that need full USB support.

All FT2232H circuit lines are connected to two-row pin connectors, which enables easy and quick mounting of the module on the PCB of the destination device.

The USB mini-module is listed in the TME offer at the symbol FT2232HQ-Module.
