miniature white LEDs
Toshiba Electronics Europe (TEE) has added two models to its range of high-power, high-brightness white LEDs.
The new devices provide designers with neutral white and warm-white options that can replace conventional bulb-technologies in commercial, residential and industrial-lighting applications.
From a driving current of just 250mA, the new TL12W02-N neutral white and TL12W02-L warm white LEDs offer high typical luminous flux ratings of 90 and 60 lumens respectively.
Both devices operate over a temperature range of -40C to +100C, making them ideal for harsh industrial environments and outdoor-lighting designs.
The TL12W02-N and TL12W02-L are supplied in miniature surface-mount packages measuring just 10.5 x 5 x 2.1mm.
The package technology is designed to ensure low thermal-resistance and provides improved heat-dissipation characteristics.
It helps simplify thermal-management in lighting designs based on the new LEDs.
Maximum forward current (IF) rating for both of the new LEDs is 300mA and maximum power dissipation (PD) is rated at 2.37W.
Typical forward voltage (VF) is 6.8V.
