Zigbee RF4CE USB stick
Greenpeak Technologies has introduced the first reference design for an RF4CE USB stick, intended for the cost-efficient integration of RF4CE technology into computers and home entertainment applications, such as set-top boxes, TVs and media players.
Designed to enable quick RF4CE USB stick implementation with minimal effort, the Greenpeak RF4CE USB stick reference design allows PCs and home-entertainment devices to accept RF4CE commands from an RF4CE remote control or RF4CE wireless keyboard.
To enable quick time to market, the reference design includes the software stacks for ZRD, the Zigbee remote-control profile, as well as ZID, the Zigbee input device.
The RF4CE can be added to any existing USB-capable device and the remote uses the Zigbee network to provide location-independent control.
Key features
- Compact size enables small USB stick designs
- Includes certification guidelines and tools
- Patented radio architecture resists Wi-Fi and Bluetooth interference
