AR-B104D module ideal for automation applications
Acrosser
AR-B104D PCI-104
Acrosser Technology has launched the AR-B104D PCI-104 interface CAN bus, 24 digital channel I/O and SRAM module for automation and in-vehicle applications.
The CAN bus controller on the AR-B104D confirms to Bosch spec CAN 2.0B Active.
It provides reliable communication up to 1Mbps baud rate with sample wiring.
The CAN controller handles error detection and re-transmission, which simplifies programming.
The 12-channel digital inputs of AR-B104D provide optical isolated general purpose input function and are also able to be a counter input.
Users do not have to handle the state change event when they have to count the pulses that come into the digital input.
The 12-channel 500mA digital outputs can also operate as automatic pulse generators as well as general purpose outputs.
In many applications there is critical data that has to be stored in real time and very frequently, and it is important that this data is not lost when external power is suddenly disconnected.
SRAM memory with battery back-up is ideal for this application because of characteristics including fast access and unlimited write cycles.
The AR-B104D is also equipped with 512K bytes battery-backed-up SRAM memory.
It can operate as a solid-state disk as well as general-purpose memory.
A free software development kit comes with the AR-B104D package, including device drivers, API, sample code, demo program and a software programming guide to support Windows and Linux operation systems.
