Qasara releases LTE mobile
Qasara
Virtual LTE Mobile
Qasara has announced the Virtual LTE mobile, to accelerate the development of infrastructure and terminal equipment to the 3GPP LTE standard.
Developed in collaboration with Rohde and Schwarz, it incorporates a fully instrumented LTE protocol stack, emulating an LTE mobile device.
The Virtual LTE mobile is fully interoperable with Rohde and Schwarz's 3GPP LTE virtual tester, providing a coherent platform for infrastructure and terminal software development.
It is supplied with Qasara's integrated tool chain, offering internal visibility to aid diagnosis of interworking and interoperability issues.
Qasara's implementation allows peer-to-peer testing of the complex interactions and data flows between the LTE medium access control (MAC), radio link control (RLC) and packet data convergence protocol (PDCP) layers, all configured via access stratum and non-access stratum control plane procedures.
Customers can benefit from the ongoing development and interoperability testing of Qasara's LTE protocol stack through service packs delivered as the 3GPP LTE standard matures.
Multiple instances of Qasara's virtual LTE mobile can be run together to allow development and testing of the complex load balancing and scheduling algorithms required in LTE infrastructure.
Qasara's product can accelerate the development of interoperable LTE products without the complexity, unreliability and cost of prototype hardware.
Qasara's Virtual LTE mobile operates alone, with a customer's test peer, or can be used together with the Rohde and Schwarz 3GPP LTE virtual tester.
The product is available now, and can be purchased with maintenance and support on a site-wide basis.
Qasara's Virtual LTE mobile will be on show at the LTE World Summit in London from 17-20 November, working alongside the Rohde and Schwarz 3GPP LTE virtual tester.
