RDP introduces SD series of amplifiers

RDP Electronics

SD series of amplifiers

Newport Spectra-Physics has brought out the first ultrafast amplifier system with optimised dual-outputs for simultaneous high-energy and time-resolved experiments.

For instance, the amplifiers are suitable for the conditions experienced on machines used in many process industries.

Signal conditioning is required to boost or convert transducer output to a level and format for monitoring or data-logging purposes.

As it is important to ensure that the connecting low-voltage cable is kept as short as possible for a better-quality signal and noise immunity, the amplifier needs to be mounted close to the transducer.

Thanks to the IP65 design utilising a compact, robust die-cast aluminium housing, also providing interference screening from electrical noise, the SD series of amplifiers can be located near to the measurement position in situations that may be wet, dusty or dirty.

RDP amplifiers are available for both DC or mains-supply input and are suitable for use with a range of LVDT transducers, strain gauge sensors and some internally amplified transducers.

The capability to adjust gain over a wide range offers compatibility with the majority of these transducer types from any manufacturer, according to the company.
