The LTM9011-14 unit is an octal 14-bit, 125Msps ADC which has a signal to noise ratio of 73.1dB and a spurious free dynamic range of 88dB at baseband.

The LTM9011 series features a sleep mode that reduces power dissipation to 2mW and operates from 1.8V analogue and digital supplies.

Additionally the series outputs data in serial LVDS format in order to minimise the number of data lines.

Units in the series also integrate bypass capacitance and provide a flow-through pinout, which reduces the board area needed for routing data I/O lines.

Key product features

  • LTM9011-14 has a power dissipation of 140mW per channel.
  • The 80Msps LTM9009-14 consumes 94mW per channel.
  • The 105Msps LTM9010-14 uses 113mW per channel.
  • At 125Msps each of the channels used by the LTM9011 series outputs 2bit at a time, using two lanes per ADC.
  • At rates below 62Msps a one bit per channel option is available.
  • Selectable input ranges of 1–2VP-P.
  • The LTM9011 series features serial data communication.
  • Models have eight simultaneous sampling ADCs in a 140-pin 11.25mm x 9mm BGA µModule package.
  • The LTM9011 includes an SPI-compatible interface, which allows users to select from a range of data settings that reduce digital feedback and simplify design.
  • Additional options include a data output randomiser that reduces digital feedback, seven programmable LVDS output current levels, internal 100Ohm LVDS output termination resistors, and digital output test patterns.
  • Settings can be programmed via SPI or hard-wired for a reduced set of operating modes.
