Blum touch probe can be used for measuring temperature drift in machine tools
Blum Novotest
TC76-Digilog touch probe
The TC76-Digilog touch probe from Blum-Novotest combines digital and analogue technology and can be used in machine tools.
An analogue probe can move in ’scanning’ mode over a surface and thereby record at a faster speed than its digital counterparts. The probe therefore allows temperature drift or inaccurately mounted pieces to be detected quickly.
The TC76-Digilog’s signal is routed to an A/D converter using a built-in or mounted base — into which the touch probe is screwed — and a cable up to 0.5m long, from which relatively long distances can be bridged using a Blum D/A converter. This reduces electrical interference and allows large numbers of readings to be transmitted.
Additionally, when mechanically connected it is compatible with typical 25mm touch probes that have an M16 fastening screw thread.
