AFE digitiser ICs for scanners and printers
Wolfson Microelectronics
WM8232, WM8233, WM8234 and WM8235
Wolfson Microelectronics now offers a range of analogue front end (AFE) digitiser integrated circuits, designed to be easily integrated into the latest generation of home and office imaging equipment.
Eligible imaging equipment includes digital copiers, scanners including portable bar-code scanners and multi-function printers (MFPs).
Part of Wolfson's imaging portfolio, the WM8232, WM8233, WM8234 and WM8235 process and digitise the analogue output signals from Charge-Coupled Device (CCD) sensors or Contact Image Sensors (CIS).
They offer a variety of channel and ADC configurations, allowing system designers to choose the configuration that best suits their purpose.
For the consumer, this means higher scanning speeds at high scan resolutions, while the flexible architecture makes it easier for engineers to design the products into their systems, speeding up the design process.
The four new imaging parts are available for sampling from August, in a 56-lead QFN package.
