Welding and joining refers to the joining of suitable materials, usually by raising the temperature at the joint so that the pieces may be united by fusing or by forging or under pressure. Includes resistance welding, arc welding, robotic welding, adhesives, oxy/gas welding, laser and beam welding, seamtracking and thermal welding.
